Health Walk today in quite pleasant weather too it managed to stay fine until I had got back home when we had a small hail storm. Bleak outlook for next month as it seems we are supposed to be getting a weather front from Siberia with snow and very cold temps. Should kill off all the midges and things that have been about lately. We shall wait and see. One of my friends, a young nurse from Ledbury is climbing Mt. "She has already hiked on glaciers in Norway and New Zealand, and in September she climbed Wales's highest mountain, Snowdon, in a blizzard.
She said: "I have had quite an adventurous life. But what we are planning is quite risky. The main risk is altitude sickness, and there is only about a 40 per cent success rate for people trying to reach the summit of Kilimanjaro."" (Extract of article from Ledbury Times)
